Try Freediving

This program provides you with an introduction to the concepts and skills used by recreational freedivers, and allows you to dive dive in a confined water environment with an SSI Dive Professional.You will earn the SSI Try Freediving recognition rating after completing this program.

Freediving Basic

This program provides you with the training and knowledge required to safely freedive with a buddy in pool/confined water environments to a depth of five meters. You will earn the SSI Basic Freediving certification after completing this program.

Freediving Pool

In this course you learn the basic theoretical knowledge and techniques of Freediving regarding time, distance and deep diving.
First, you start on the pool with time dive because it is a good preparation for the other disciplines.
You become familiar with the topic of respiratory therapy and learn techniques for efficient diving, safety and rescue. After that distance diving and the different techniques are the main focus.
In particular, you work on fin and descend techniques as well as on hydrodynamics. The goal is to dive as efficient and oxygen-saving as possible, for longer, deeper and further dives. But also here, safety and rescue skills for distance diving are involved.

Freediving Level 1

This program provides you with the training and knowledge required to safely freedive with a buddy in open water environments to depths of 20 meters. You will earn the SSI Level 1 Freediving certification after completing this program.

Free Immersion

Free immersion training requires less energy and effort, and can be done in a head-down position. This enables you to use less energy, and makes equalization easier for newer freedivers. This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely conduct free immersion freedives, pulling themselves along a dive line instead of using fins. You will earn the SSI Free Immersion Specialty certification after completing this program.

Freediving Night & Limited Visibility

Whether scuba diving or Freediving, at night everything is quite different. This course is designed to teach you the necessary skills for the darkness.
The use of lamps, safety precautions and the changed environmental conditions are topics of this course.

Training Tables

Freedivers are always looking for ways to improve their performance. This program provides the skills and experience required to safely plan and conduct freediving sessions using the Freediving Training Tables. This will allow you to hold your breath longer and improve your tolerance to higher CO2 levels. Upon completion of the program, you will receive the SSI Training Tables Specialty certification.

Photo & Video Freediving

You know already how fascinating the underwater world is, but how do you explain that to your family and friends? This program gives you the skills and experience you need to safely creating fascinating photos and videos of your freediving adventures. After that you can share with everyone. Upon completion of the program you will receive the SSI Photo and Video Freediving Specialty certification.

Freediving Stress & Rescue

Stress is a major cause of diving accidents and negatively impacts rescue situations. This program teaches you the skills and knowledge required to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by freedivers. You will earn the SSI Freediving Stress and Rescue Specialty certification after completing this program.
